We have been hearing rumors for a long time about the possibility of Samsung launching a flexible screen phone. We know its final name, Samsung Galaxy X, and we have seen some possible designs of this phone with folding screen. But this new patent from Samsung could reveal the final design of the Samsung Galaxy X that would be characterized by having an enveloping screen.
This new patent, which has been leaked today, shows a smartphone with a screen that wraps the device on both sides. Presented at the United States Patent and Trademark Office on September 2, 2016, this could be the definitive design of the Samsung Galaxy X, or a different version of the flexible screen phone from the Korean manufacturer.
Will this be the final design of the Samsung Galaxy X?
As you will have seen in the conceptual drawings that accompany this article, this version of the Samsung Galaxy X would have a large main screen on the front of the phone that would wrap in the back occupying half of the back side. This way we would have a front panel to visualize contents and, possibly, the back part would be destined to give a similar use to what we saw at the time in the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge being able to read notifications and emails in addition to accessing certain applications.

We know that Samsung intends to launch a flexible screen phone throughout the next year, 2018 and already in 2013, within the framework of the CES in Las Vegas, the giant based in Seoul presented the Galaxy Youm, the first screen with AMOLED screen flexible. So it is not so crazy the idea that the Korean manufacturer bet on different models of your Samsung Galaxy X. More if we consider that they will make very few units of this smarphone with folding screen.
We have already seen the possible user interface of the Samsung Galaxy X, which shows a design very similar to ZTE Axon M, so it is likely that this filtered patent may end up being another version of the Samsung Galaxy X. Could it be a model with a 6-inch screen oriented to view multimedia content or read books?
