Shown! IPhone users believe themselves to be better than Android users

¡Demostrado! Los usuarios de iPhone se creen mejores que los de Android
Generally, people who buy an iPhone do it for two reasons: 1) because they do not want to eat their head and want something that works and 2) by social status. Many people believe that having an iPhone gives them a higher social status, and that "Android is for the poor". Well that seems to stop being a saying to be a reality, and is that a survey has shown that iPhone users are more likely to negatively judge another person if they have an Android smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 humiliates the iPhone 6s in camera tests

Samsung has been keen to point out that its flagship the Galaxy S7 has all in its new image sensor has excellent shots in low light and a super fast autofocus. But there is already a bit of choice when it comes to cameras and smartphones when the real test is conducted face to face. The YouTuber SuperSaf has managed to get the phone a little faster and faced with the iPhone 6s and Apple iPhone 6s Plus.

Now the Samsung Galaxy S7 allows, with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, capturing 240 frames per second to achieve this effect. Exactly the same data brings us back camera iPhone 6s, but with the difference that the team Apple does allow Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 120 photograms per second, while in Full HD Samsung Galaxy S7 is limited at 60 frames per second.

We recommend you watch the video because you can make your own conclusions from the images shown and leave us your comments, we believe the Samsung Galaxy came out the winner by a large margin, but we can not detracting from the camera 6s iPhone is a smartphone last year and is competing with a team that was recently introduced and is not even on the market.

The iPhone 6s Plus Exceeds the Galaxy S7 Edge in a Speed Test

El iPhone 6s Plus le da un repaso al Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge en un test de velocidad.

The new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge does not reach the market officially until later this week, but who has already been done with a unit and are starting to appear the first comparative video, as you taught them this morning of a test resistance to iPhone 6s Plus. This time we bring you another video, this time a speed test that pits the iPhone 6s Plus with S7 Edge Galaxy, the Nexus 6P and Moto X Pure Edition.

However, although the video there are four devices in total, iPadizate we will focus only on the iPhone 6s Plus and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, the new flagship presented by the South Korean company a few days ago only. So we do not entertain us and we will see how the Galaxy S7 Edge fights back with respect to speed versus iPhone 6s Plus, which has lasted about six months on the market. The iPhone 6s Plus gives a review of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge in a speed test.

Which of the two smartphone has a faster response?

As has been seen in some comparisons speed test the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has nothing to deal with the iPhone 6s Plus, even though the mobile Apple has already half a year on the market and that has half RAM, 2GB 4GB versus new smartphone from Samsung.

In the video that accompanies this news a comparative response speed is different actions of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, iPhone 6s Plus, the Moto X Pure Edition and the Nexus 6P, these three last released in 2015. The four devices are factory reset, running without a SIM card and you only have installed additional applications that appear in the test (Instagram, Netflix or Temple Run, among others), which is basically open and close applications and games to see how long it takes.

The iPhone 6s Plus outperforms its competitors in this video, finishing the test in 1 minute and 42 seconds, while the Galaxy S7 Edge was behind with 18 seconds apart. Watching this video it is clear how Apple takes full advantage of all the hardware that is part of the iPhone but not the cutting edge and working together that makes the software, in this case iOS in September.

Without going any further, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge comes with a 4GB RAM, while the iPhone 6s Plus has 2GB of RAM. We must also not forget that both devices use different processors and operating systems.

Specifically, the head of Samsung explains that the rear camera incorporates Dual Pixel technology, opening 1.7, to perform approaches in much less time up to four times faster than the previous model in low-luminosity. Meanwhile, it takes 5-megapixel front camera and the same opening.

Software upgrades: the screen does not sleep

The improvements of the new device are not confined to the hardware level, which is that the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge out for wearing a Always on screen, which displays information to the user at all times having blocked terminal without this lead to a constant battery consumption. This option is customizable and the user can view it from the watch, the amount of available battery or social interactions you have.

Gear 360, bet on virtual reality

This could be the next LG G5: modular but "unibody"?

Así podría ser el próximo LG G5: ¿modular y «unibody»?

The new flagship of the South Korean maintain some aspects such as camera, fingerprint reader installed and reduce the size of your screen

Beyond the iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 future, possibly they repeat one more season as the best-selling smart phones, the major manufacturers are starting to prepare their new flagship. One that possibly be a significant leap in innovation will be G5 LG, next terminal high-end LG, whose main novelty is a chassis of the type 'unibody' but, unlike its rivals, it may remove the battery.
According to the latest leaks that swarm over the Internet, the South Korean giant could launch in the coming months, coinciding with the new edition of the Mobile World Congress, to be held in Barcelona from 22 to Feb. 25, its new flagship for this season . The concept of "smartphone" is changing and proposals as Ara Project of Google, trying modular terminals, allowing set piece by piece, as if it were a conventional computer arise.
Without reaching that level, the LG G5 will, according to rumors, a more modular design. Although they can discard and replace broken parts, the "smartphone" can allow itself to remove the battery from the bottom with just remove a piece, as if it were a cover. And that will be built on a chassis of the type "unibody", that is, in one piece, like the current iPhone 6S and Samsung S6.
In addition to this proposal, the next could be mobile, based on these leaks, totally different from the current LG G4. The LG G5, on the other hand, could hold dual camera with two sensors, one would come to 16 megapixels and an 8 megapixel. With a 5.29-inch screen instead of the current 5.5-inch, there is talk of a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and a RAM of 3GB. In terms of processor, most likely uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, one of the stars components for this year and fingerprint reader, and even heart rate sensor.

Apple patent introduces simultaneous photo capture with multiple cameras

05-iphone-6s-jhila-farzaneh

The latest patent filed by Apple details the idea of using two cameras to simultaneously capture two different fields of view in the same direction. By taking two photos with different focal lengths, a device like a phone could have an effective optical zoom without an actual moving lens.

The patent, first picked up by by Patently Apple, shows diagrams of two cameras side by side, the first with a larger field of view and the second with a smaller field of view that is a subset of the larger one, with their visual axes aligned. The device can then store the two photo data structures separately.

ApplePatentPictures
Illustrations from Apple's patent. The left figure shows the two cameras capturing two fields of view. The right figure shows the two images both displayed on the same screen.
With these two data structures, the device can display both photos, switch between them or create an intermediate photo, enhancing the quality of the larger field of view picture with data from the smaller field of view.

For an example of this technology being used, Apple described taking video of a baseball game. With this design, someone could take equal-quality zoomed in and wide angle video at the same time and use that in the coverage of the game. With one device, a video operator could focus close up on a batter swinging while also focusing on the wider outfield and crowd reaction.

To ensure simultaneous image capture, Apple included a portion in the patent to index and compare the times at which the photos are captured in each of the cameras.

Apple's patent isn't just for phones, it also includes computers, tablets, cameras and gaming consoles. This technology could very well become a part of many different future Apple products.

There is no mention of using the side-by-side cameras for 3D within the patent, and the slight offset of the two images raises the question of how well an intermediate composition of the two photos would actually look. There are no details about how the photo data would be analyzed and combined.

As always, patent applications aren't proof that we'll actually see the technology in a finished product, but it does show us some of the things Apple is considering for its future camera systems.

A robot cooked me a tasty Kung Pao chicken

Onecook

Las Vegas — Someday, a robot will cook you dinner and, if you're lucky, it'll be Chinese food.

That's the promise of OneCook, a new robotic chef that can blend and cook ingredients and serve you a finished meal.

Developed by TNL Corp., OneCook isn't much to look at. The working prototype is a large, round, white device that, coincidentally, resembles a rice cooker. The team had a sleeker, non-working version at CES 2016's Eureka Park (where CES houses all the startups), but they directed me to the back of the conference hall where the TNL Corp. team was about to use OneCook to prepare a meal.

TNL Corp. founder and inventor Hanlin Hong told me that the whole process should take five or six minutes. So I parked myself and waited to taste some robot cooking.

Hong explained that the device works with an app that has meal options supplied by the company. You order what you want to cook and the 4.5-liter, pre-packaged ingredients arrive at your home. Each pack costs between $8 and $10. For the purposes of this demonstration, they would make Kong Pao chicken and use a small pack of chopped red and yellow peppers, peanuts, parboiled chicken pieces and sauce.
OneCook
I watched as they put each ingredient into its own metal container, lifted the big lid on the OneCook and then carefully placed each one inside. The Wi-Fi in the hall was abysmal and it took some doing to upload the recipe to the robot. Soon, though, Hong closed the lid and announced that the cooking process had begun. An LED timer on top indicated that I’d have to wait approximately five-and-a-half minutes.

Hong opened the lid to show me that the robot was already heating and stirring the peppers and sauce. The speed and heat can all be adjusted through the connected app. Soon the OneCook robot had dropped in the chicken and then, finally, the peanuts. It smelled good.

When the cooking process was finished (after exactly 5 minutes and 30 seconds), Hong opened the front of the robot and pulled out what looked like a steaming hot aluminum pot. Then he ladled the finished meal onto a plate. Each ingredient pack can, depending on the meal, serve as many as four people.

Hong passed out toothpicks and encouraged us to dig in. I skewered a piece of chicken and some red pepper. The food was hot, spicy and pretty tasty, though I would say the chicken was a little over-cooked.
OnceCook Meal
All-in-all pretty impressive. OneCook is not the first robot cooking device I’ve seen. Two years ago, I tried out the Rotimatic, robotic naan maker. The difference between the two devices is that Rotimatic can only make Roti, while OneCook can handle pretty much any ingredients you put into it, as long as it has the recipe program.

When OneCook finally goes on sale it will cost between $200 and $400, though Hong promised a pre-sale deal of $99 to $199.
Honestly, the Kung Pao was good enough that I’d be in for $199.

How to Age Backward

Lying about your age is about to get a whole lot easier. Groundbreaking research suggests that you can shave years off your biological age—and looks—with a few simple lifestyle changes. "The body has tremendous reparative capabilities not just to stave off the effects of aging but to reverse them," says plastic surgeon Darrick Antell, an assistant professor at New York's Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Best of all, you can begin now.

THE DIET THAT WORKS Some of the most intriguing research involves telomeres, the caps at the ends of chromosomes that protect our DNA from damage. Although telomeres shorten naturally with age, smoking, stress, and obesity can speed up the process. "Short telomeres have been associated with higher risks of chronic diseases, including diabetes and some cancers," says Cindy Leung, a researcher at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine. Studies have concluded that shorter telomeres can also make us look older. "You know how some people who are 70 look 90?" says Immaculata De Vivo, an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. "They probably have shorter telomeres." While we have long known that the Mediterranean diet—rich in fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes, whole grains, fish, and olive oil, and a moderate amount of red wine—improves health, researchers at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston recently discovered that it may be even more effective than other healthy diets at preventing accelerated telomere shortening. "Women on the diet had longer telomeres. Our study showed that it's possible to take a year and a half off your biological age with modest changes to your diet," says De Vivo, the study's senior author. Researchers haven't yet isolated which components of the diet appear to be the most effective, but the women who adhered to it most closely had the longest telomeres. And swap your soda for that glass of cabernet: According to another study, sugary sodas don't just widen your waistline; they also shorten your telomeres. "Our findings show that someone who drank just eight ounces of sugary soda a day had shorter telomeres than someone who drank no soda," says Leung, one of the study's authors. "Drinking 20 ounces was associated with 4.6 years of additional biological aging, an effect comparable to that of smoking."

A PILL WITH PROMISE Of course, anytime there's an effective diet, there's sure to be a pill promising the same—or better—results. Enter TA-65, a nutritional supplement that proponents claim can not only slow telomere shortening but actually lengthen existing ones. Available without a prescription, TA-65 is derived from astragalus root extract, a powerful antioxidant, and is said to work by activating the enzyme telomerase, which counteracts telomere shortening. Joseph Raffaele, an internist and cofounder of PhysioAge Medical Group in New York, has studied TA-65 since 2007 and says his research shows that people who take TA-65 have "a decrease in blood pressure, cholesterol, and fasting glucose as well as an increase in bone density." Ron Rothenberg, founder and medical director of the California HealthSpan Institute in Encinitas, is also a believer, and says that it's never too late to start. "It works best when it's used with other healthy lifestyle choices, not in isolation," explains Rothenberg. All this purported telo lengthening is not without controversy. Some doctors are concerned because telomerase activity has been associated with a higher risk of cancer; they recommend waiting until more studies are completed.

TRICKS TO YOUNGER SKIN One thing there is no controversy about: the antiaging benefits of exercise. Research indicates that staying active can preserve everything from mental acuity to muscle mass. Now, it seems, exercise can also take years off your complexion. Researchers at McMaster University Medical Center in Ontario, Canada, found that people who took part in moderate endurance exercise for 30 to 45 minutes twice a week for three months developed younger-looking skin. "At the microscopic level, their skin was about 20 years younger," says neurologist Mark Tarnopolsky, the study's lead author. "It makes sense to do endurance exercise—biking, running, the elliptical—at least twice a week." A visit to the dermatologist can also encourage your skin to act younger. Lasers like Fraxel and PicoSure stimulate collagen and elastin and provoke the skin to essentially age in reverse, says dermatologist Robert Anolik of New York's Laser & Skin Surgery Center. Sometimes going backward truly is the best way forward.
